@_Godotto Sounds like from the earth quake in his bio he was intended to be a new character that would show up in the extremely long Batman cataclysm- no mans land story line that seemed to never end. My only attempt being a Batman monthly reader was then, it was rough, I didn’t make it.

@leekassen If a fake Vietnam war was 20 years ago, but 9/11 was over 20 years ago and the invasion of iraq was 20 years this March... Did those still happen in universe 616? Did they happen while we were already in a Vietnam-esq war? When Vietnam vets would haven been in their late 50’s?

@leekassen Seems outlandishly dumb. makes me wonder if todays marvel would now shy away from making new characters connected to any real world events and anxieties because it could fudge up the continuity bandaids keeping their 50 year old characters from being elderly.

@Venkman007 @BronzeAgeBabies I believe it’s “siena blaze”, around then she was debuting as a new major villain, in x-men unlimited #1 she nearly takes out cyclops, storm, and the professor in Antarctica in a nice Chris Bachalo issue. But I guess she turned out not to be to interesting to subsequent creators.

@cartilagepizza @sfrussell @BullyCreative @dbrauer actually☝🏻 “marvel man” only exists in England, in north America the series had to be published under the title “miracle man” to avoid being sued by marvel comics. who now own the character due to an unexpected result of a very long law suit between Neil Gaiman & Todd Mcfarlane.

@darklongbox I saw this in theaters when it came out. people were walking out covering their eyes and gasping. I’d never seen a reaction like that to a horror/thriller film before.
