Leviticus 16:14 states:

This is the foreshadowing of the 7 times Jesus Christ would have to shed Blood when He died for our sins:

3. His Beard Was Pulled Out and he bled
4. A crown of thorns was dug into his head and the blood ran down his face
5.He was nailed To The Cross and He Bled from his hands
6. He was nailed to the cross and He bled from His feet
7.After Death on the cross a soldier pierced his side and blood and water came out

Jesus Christ had to fulfill the laws of atonement for this to be the final sacrifice for Sin. That blood sprinkled onto the mercy seat at Calvary and redeemed us!
