Which dressing is best for minor burns? This is often the most difficult question when managing minor burns in the ED. Sensible advice from Dr Carl Lisec (Burn Surgeon) @liseccarl who says any dressing is fine as long as you use it correctly. #qldas19

Burns Mx- Use Hartmann’s solution in 1st 8 hrs. Assess response to fluid resuscitation with urine output >0.5mL/kg/hr and aim for Hb 150mg/dL. Hypotension in the first 8 hours is usually not from the burn - assess for other causes. Dr Carl Lisec at QLD Autumn Symposium. #qldas19
