@SelmarRBinder@Osinttechnical What I meant by the strikes that already happened are the Shaheds and occasional cruise missile landed in Moldova.
those were probably unintentional, buut it is also likely, that Russia is testing European resolve this way
@SelmarRBinder@Osinttechnical There is Russian occupied Transnistria in Moldova, from where something could be staged, but the capabilities of the forces stationed there are severely limited.
Remember that Russia has agents all around Europe, so they can stage operations almost anywhere
@SelmarRBinder@Osinttechnical I was sure it was russian, before your comment.
I still think it's russian, but it's weird.
If someone would like to escalate, I see no point in doing it in Moldova, because they already get enough real drone strikes, and no one cares
@NotWoofers I think it's probably just a test platform/proof of concept.
Tanks in general are really rarely seen on the frontline nowadays, so if they get it to Ukraine, they'd just shoot at some empty buildings and that would probably be it
@SelmarRBinder@Osinttechnical I mean yeah, the crater is also really small for a the classic 50kg warhead.
I wouldn't say that it's a mortar bomb for sure tho.
@SelmarRBinder@Osinttechnical Depends on the Geran variant, could be a lot of things - engine part, part of the warhead, fuselage,...
The images out right now appear to be from only one of the crash sites, and yes, they are pretty subpar.
We'll see more pretty soon I think
@carramba66 the fact that the ground to air missile type is unknown is really suspect.
I'd expect some Israeli/Turkish AA missiles - which are maybe viable against shahed type drones.
thus the performance should be similar as the shitty Pantsir.
but the chassis is great!
