A very welcome drop on the doormat just now - Chasing Clouds from @TheDirigible, thanks to the very hard work of @JonathanHumble.
I’m so chuffed to have 2 poems in this wonderful anthology. Its chock full of amazing poetry. I can’t wait to share it with my boys and my class! 💗
Still a couple of days to win a copy of my latest book all about Adaptive Teaching. 🔥 off the press. Retweet and follow by end of 28th Feb! #adaptive teaching #cpd
@CaroleBromley1 Thank you. He’s had the condition since birth but is much more aware of it now he’s 13. He’s is not one of those “too cool for a teddy” teens so the penguin was well-received. He is indeed in excellent hands.
This is lovely. My son’s cardiologist gave him a toy with a heart-rate recorder “implant” and an activator device on its flipper - just like his own implant and activator. He so often feels down about his “wrong” heart but this has made him feel seen and less “different”. 💗
@MrWalkerPrimary@MichaelRosenYes@OpenUni_RfP@jonnybid Agree. I keep mine topped up with books I find in charity shops and I have taken in all my own kids’ old picture books now they’ve outgrown them. Would have few high quality, good condition books if I didn’t.
@MichaelRosenYes@OpenUni_RfP@jonnybid It’s not usual to have scheme books in a book corner and children often get to take a library book home alongside their phonics book.
I would guess many well-stocked class libraries include books personally purchased by teachers though.
When you write a book your publisher gives you a few free author copies. Most of them are being given to people who helped me write it. But I have 1 spare. I’ll give it to someone after the 28th Feb. Retweet & follow to be in with a chance! 🌞
I'm doing a free giveaway to celebrate the publication of my latest book! Like and retweet to enter (UK only). Winner announced on Sunday. Link to find out more about the book below. #freebie#giveaway
@MrHtheteacher You’re safe! If I ever was a ghost stuck in a school I’d probably just stick some work in books and tidy up the reading corner to help out a bit. 😆
Lovely bit of post on the mat today. Looking forward to sharing this with my boys this evening. Will take it into school to share with my class next week. I’ll enjoy using the excellent pencil too 😆 @BardyMum#childrenspoetry#kidlit
@JSellarsLies, I read this at the end of the day with my Y1s and dramatically pointed at the window on the last line. And there, outside the window, was a cloud that looked just like rain. We all got wet when we went out for home time. The kids loved it.
