Well, as someone who bought a ticket and has been wanting to see him in concert for years, I’m disappointed.

As someone who also recognizes that their is a blatant genocide happening, leaving a tour for “solidarity” and costing people their jobs by getting a tour cancelled, is not going to stop Israel from bombing children.

I don’t think Ed Sheeran is a terrible person at all, he was put into an impossible situation to navigate.

His job is to write and perform music that unites people and he’s pretty successful at doing it. He’s not an activist, a politician or a commentator and people need to stop holding these celebrities to such ridiculous standards.

Ed Sheeran has released a statement on Macklemore being removed from his tour for speaking up for Palestine:

“Macklemore coming off tour was the promoter's decision, it was not mine. Macklemore's contract for the tour was with the promoter, not me. […] I am not complicit. I have my personal views on this devastating conflict. Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn't mean I don't have them, and it doesn't mean I don't care. Nor does it mean I don't support causes in my own, personal way.”

@Debs_1982 yeah the launch show has always been live it's an odd choice they used to have the launch show been shown 2 weeks before the main competition starts so I don't know why they don't go back to that 😕

Trans influencer Jolina Mennen has gone viral after sharing which toilets she felt able to use while visiting the UK.

The German content creator, who has been open about her transition for nearly 13 years, reflected on navigating the UK in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling that biological sex, rather than gender identity or a Gender Recognition Certificate, can be the deciding factor for access to single-sex spaces.

"As a trans woman, I will always have the utmost respect for women, always," she wrote. "When I am a guest in a country, I want to accept its laws, customs, and views."

But, she added, "if we think logically about which restroom would cause more chaos, drama, and confusion, it is surely clear to everyone that I cannot use the men's restroom." She thanked staff at London's O2 Arena, who she said saw it the same way.

"Genuine trans people will never deliberately cause problems or make anyone feel uncomfortable," she added. "We know that feeling all too well ourselves."

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public. 

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
