#YouthTalk#We voted, #What next?
We had a very interactive session at the global platforms, Young people shared their expectations from the government.
#Whats your expectations?
Life is life. There’s no blueprint and whatever blueprints we have or had, ultimately break and show us that the program is life and we will never be bigger than the program. As young adults, many of us had the minds of children: “I will be this by this age. I will do that. I will be rich. I will be married. I will have x number of kids. My family will look like this or like that.” Our blueprints didn’t factor in death, disease, betrayal, loss in its myriad ways, third-world constraints, pandemics, trauma, theft, crime, and everything we now know can absolutely devastate your dreams.
Not even your background can insulate you in all ways.
I was raised by my father; a providing man. It makes me want a masculine, providing man who earns more than me and it makes me want to live in my femininity and cater to my man. Here, I am my father’s daughter and this part of my programming is intact. I know a lady who was also raised by a dad like mine; but has found herself in a marriage with a manchild who gives her silent treatment when she doesn’t give him money. Her father raised her as a woman but her husband had turned her into a man. Her blueprint failed.
Growing up with a father, one would imagine I would know all the secrets to picking the right kind of man, yet here I am, a single mom, with failed relationships. My blueprint failed.
I know people on the brink of nasty divorces yet they grew up with both parents who are still together in their old age, helplessly watching their children struggle with this life thing. No formula. No blueprint. Life will life.
Many of us grew up in very comfortable homes but are currently struggling financially. Blueprint failed.
The moral is that if you’re unaware of the world’s many grey areas and if you still have the mind of a child who doesn’t understand that life has many twists and turns, you will be utterly devastated and destroyed when your blueprint fails.
Hey there! Let's talk about something important that affects many of us: Period problems. 😊
You know how sometimes periods can be a real pain (literally)? Well, there are a few common issues that a lot may relate to like;
The current energy crisis is depressing. It's sad to see so many people closing their businesses because they can't sustain them.
This creates a terrible chain reaction, worsening the cost of living for many. If you have a stable job and income, be gratefu, abantu balechula.
Congratulations to the young people of Kenya, the #GenZ. Your voice has won. You have proved once again that People Power is stronger than the People in Power! #RejectFinanceBill2024
To support the 🇿🇲Govts drought response, WFP has trained and deployed 20 call centre agents to manage @DMMUZambia's Situation Room.
The agents all support real time market & food security monitoring & feedback mechanisms to aid the drought response efforts.

Members of parliament interfering and slowing down CDF processes with the aim of making the president and the ruling party look bad should be reminded that; their patriotism is to Zambia🇿🇲 & never the president.
The disappointment that comes with knowing that what you thought was sacred/special between you and someone is something they do with everyone else is real.
The most dehumanising thing I’ve ever experienced was unemployment. Every other day, it was people asking you if you’ve found a job. I hated the looks of pity, sadness and disappointment. I also hated the fact that people assumed I was lazy. There are some people who need to go
