@LiangRhea Assuming the leave was booked months in advance and not weeks then it shouldn’t be a problem. Most units I’ve worked in require you to plan when you want to take leave. Me going to my NUM today and asking for a week in July is probably going to get denied.

It was great meeting with the Premier, Treasurer, Health Minister, Member for Cairns and so many others at Regional Parliament this morning. I was able to talk about the worldwide nursing shortage and the need to grow numbers close to home. Opposition called Cairns nurses “Duds.”

Since 2015 we’ve hired 798 more incredible nurses and midwives in Far North Queensland.
I had the pleasure of meeting some of them today.
