My sister got married today and had the meal at McDiarmid park. Staff worked incredibly hard to create a special day for her and her husband. They kept the trophy on the bar which was a lovely touch. Staff were unbelievable every single one of them.

Food was incredible. Young lassies that were serving were really polite and helpful and Mo never stopped all night. The staff behind the scene done a great job too.

Simo put a special letter together for them. Lovely touch.

This is MMA fighter Sean McInnes. When Anne Marie Boyle asked him to leave her alone, he punched her in the face so hard that he broke her cheekbone and her eye socket, knocked her unconscious, and left her with a life-altering brain injury.

He was given less than two years behind bars.

We met Lamin Kongira yesterday to hear his eye-witness account of what he saw as the fire started. Asked why he ran into the shop, into harm’s way, he said, “It was my duty as a citizen in Glasgow to help my city.”

Lamin has asked me to share one specific detail with people: that he’s currently homeless.

He says he has been homeless for 6 months and is now living in a hotel. He told me he’s been in Glasgow for over 16 years now, and he used to work with Glaswegians from a horse charity who came to his country of Gambia. He came here and made it his home, but after his marriage ended he lost everything. He asked me to share this because although he doesn’t want any thanks for risking his life to fight the fire, he does want people to understand how widespread homelessness is now in this city he loves.
