The painted bike lanes are unprotected, unbuffered, and on an excessively wide and deadly section of North Figueroa with five traffic lanes. The LADOT design from seven years ago included a road diet and buffered bike lanes, our design proposed parking-protected lanes. #Fig4ALL

#Fig4ALL UPDATE 2022: 12 years after being proposed in the 2010 #LABikePlan, 7 years after LA City Councilmember @GilCedillo blocked them, @LADOTofficial are painting bike lanes on North Figueroa between Marmion Way and the #LAriver in Cypress Park.

We tried.

But he was our best hope. He was going to bell the cat! The fact that over 3000 people still voted for him speaks to this.

Our candidate vowed to fight on, and go down with the ship. So he did. Firing volleys at anyone within range. Tone deaf and blind.

Then on April 28, it all imploded. Our candidate lost all his endorsements. The campaign ran aground, his crew, supporters abandoned ship.

Hundreds of people came together in a truly GRASSROOTS movement to elect @joe4cd1. We sacrificed money and months to lift him into office.

Josef was our proverbial volunteer who offered himself up to "Bell The Cat." We saw political action as our only hope to create a #Fig4all.
