The Friends of a New Northern Pulp welcome any Nova Scotian that supports the establishment of a clean, modernized Northern Pulp mill to join us.

We came together to support the transformation of the Northern Pulp mill. NP is prepared to transform its mill into one the cleanest in the world. We support them. Forests and forestry need a central pulp mill otherwise the economics of ecological forestry would collapse. #nspoli
Forestry is a renewable and sustainable sector. Forestry was local before local was cool and renewable before renewable was trendy. Forestry is one of Nova Scotia’s most durable and impactful sectors. #nspoli
We work in the forests. Forests need to be nurtured. We nurture our forests every day, we practice ecological forestry, we look after our land. We grow trees. We tend to them as they grow and when they are mature, we harvest them and start the process all over again. #nspoli
We are NS'ians who care about our province, our forests, and our communities. We are the 36,000 small and large woodlot owners and the 10,000+ owners and workers of forestry businesses. We are the supporters of the forestry sector who supply them with goods and services. #nspoli
This group painted farmer's fields and protected areas brown. All of this was done to mislead the public and make them think that the majority of the land has been clear cut and they used @infomorning to do it. Shame on @CBCNS#nspoli
Too bad @infomorning allowed themselves to be used by this anti-forestry group. This map is completely misleading. The majority of the brown on this map is actually green in the real world.

This group painted areas where treatments were done 35, 30, 25.... years ago and painted those brown. Foresters plant more trees than they cut. These areas would now be covered in fully grown mature trees.

Nova Scotia should have a Premier who understands forestry and will work with us.

Have your say on the future of Forestry in NS.

There could be no better news in 2021 for the forestry sector than getting Northern Pulp on a sustainable, healthy path.

"CB will be instrumental in how we shape the future of the province and how we help support our industries like forestry and fishing, and mining."
@IainTRankin, do you really want to support forestry or is that just something you say outside of Hfx when looking for votes?#nspoli
Great response by WestFor, helping students and teachers.
Ludicrous reaction from Extinction Rebellion NS, suggesting that anyone should be complaining about a company supporting students with needed outdoor classrooms amid a pandemic.
We say THANK YOU to Westfor!

Well said Robin. Who is fighting for the forestry sector?#nspoli
ROBIN WILBER: McNeil could salvage forestry legacy by reviving Northern Pulp | The Chronicle Herald https://t.co/pX0EbsWged
Anti forestry activist Raymond Plourde is not satisfied with the shut down of Northern Pulp. Now he wants to shut down the entire forestry industry. @CBCNS where is the interview with a representative of the industry to provide some balance? #nspoli
@StephenMcNeil's @nsgov created the need for Fight for Forestry. All the best in your retirement. This account wouldn't exist without you.

Our reporters and columnists explore the personal and the political in comprehensive coverage of Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil's announcement that he's leaving public office. https://t.co/6gG7GItkRK
It has meant woodlot owners, who used to sell their low-quality wood for pulp, no longer have that market, and it has made it less economically viable for them to have their land logged. #nspoli
