Seeing a lone man resist the hysterical insanity of nine female jurors and two male jurors attempting to let a serial killer go free should connect a few dots for us with respect to feminism, the Longhouse, and the dynamics of resistance.

When a space becomes demographically feminized (that is, Longhoused), the vast majority of men either leave or submit to the feminine norms.

A much smaller percentage of men resist those norms. The vast majority of those men are forced out by various versions of bureaucratic control mechanisms (read, HR departments).

This is how you end up with an endless spiral of feminization in a church, a workplace, and even a nation.

It is exceedingly difficult to launch a successful counterattack against the Longhouse from within an already Longhoused space.

This is why you will see the most effective, the most vocal, and the most open defiance to feminism from pockets of resistance that have successfully escaped the Longhouse and built free institutions outside of its norming control.

This is why we spend the last two chapters of the book focusing extensively on first escaping the Longhouse and then subsequently building outside of the Longhouse without replicating or repeating its errors.

I do not for a second buy this defense on factual grounds. But even if I granted it, let me be clear:

I do not believe insanity or mental incompetence to be a valid legal excuse.

If you commit murder, you ought to receive swift and public capital punishment.

I don’t understand. For decades, feminists have argued that women have full control over their minds and that even pointing out mood changes during a cycle is just male misogyny.

Now, that entire argument is getting thrown out the window because the Lindsay Clancy defense is literally claiming in open court that hormones can turn someone into a deranged psychopath capable of child murder. It’s wild to watch that narrative completely flip.

A not-guilty finding based on hormones and insanity would have crazy implications. For example, if hormonal states can legally erase accountability, why wouldn’t they also affect fitness for jobs, high-pressure decisions, firearms, and parenting?

Courts cannot treat a woman as legally insane for the worst possible act and then pretend the same reasoning has no implications anywhere else.

Also, Lindsay Clancy is no more insane than Jeffrey Dahmer, who was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic disorder, and yet, he was still declared legally sane at trial. For the sake of those children, and for the sake of all the good that’s in this world, I hope the jury makes the only sensible decision here

It is genuinely wild to me that dozens and dozens of men on the right wing have accepted all-expenses-paid vacations to a foreign country with deeply controversial ties to our own political system—and then seem to view it as a totally absurd question when someone brings it up and asks if it might have influenced them in some way.

Obviously, there's a chance that it did. Obviously, it's a relevant question to ask. Obviously, people should know about the free vacation if they're going to figure out whether to trust you on issues related to that country.

Lindsay Clancy claims that she only heard “the voice” once - when it was time to kill her children.

This doctor claims, like the other psychologist witness, that hearing an imaginary voice only once is virtually unheard of for people in psychosis and that obeying the voice “is not curative of the voice.” And yet Clancy claims she’s never heard it again.

Also, he points out that Lindsay had spent time that week specifically planning *which* restaurant to send Patrick to and how far they were away.

The saddest part of this testimony is hearing him talk about a child’s natural will to survive. It’s very strong, he says. The children would have resisted. She kept going, carrying out her plan, even after Patrick called her in the middle of it.

This clearly wasn’t a moment of delusion. She meant what she did.

What's crazy is that the ordinary understanding of historical progress in our day is that we overturned the ancient, oppressive patriarchal order by giving women the vote.

But what women did with the vote is to create a world where they could genocide hundreds of millions of babies—and even strangle their own children—and receive sympathy rather than the noose.
