The fact that climate change & how to fix it is not the number one story every single day is proof of something deep & scarily wrong with our society.
The UK Home Office confirms they’ve been hacked.
And the UK government thinks Digital ID is a good idea?
They can’t even protect their own systems, as seen time and time again. Maybe focus on basic cybersecurity before asking for the keys to your citizens entire lives.
"If you've got nothing to hide, you should support Digital ID for social media."
Uh - your dissenting political opinion is what you'll need to hide.
That's how government censorship works.
I’ve no doubt we’re going to get at least equal coverage of the program of the left-green coalition that came first in the French election
As we are getting handwringing over the far right’s loss & the shock this has clearly caused to the planned coverage on #r4today…🤔
@Frances_Coppola An isolated, absolute, indicator always lacks context. It’s very annoying to see them used with no references to related indicators to push a narrative that fits it but is not well argued for.
@SheriefFYI Have you tried issuing commands with GIT_TRACE=1 (env var). IIRC it will show you the credential-related commands it runs too. Another one, if using ssh for transport (i.e: git doesn’t do auth), try GIT_SSH_COMMAND=“ssh -vv”. Unsure of the env var name on this one, check manual
Give Theresa May due credit. It takes dedication and skill to remove compensation for the wrongly convicted with hardly anybody noticing. A true politician of conviction.

"I was detained & tortured for 7 months in Libya. I came to the UK for a safe future, & when I arrived the government sent me to a prison camp."

Our treatment of asylum seekers is a scandal beyond comprehension https://t.co/2FV7YlJZD5
Two things:
(1) You literally cannot switch into the Graduate route without first completing your course. It’s one of the requirements of the route.
(2) People here on a student visa and then Graduate *do not* qualify for ILR after five years. It’s not a route to settlement.
Let me be crystal clear: at £18,600, the family income threshold was cruel, discriminatory, unnecessary, & separated British families causing significant harm to children.
This climb down is a predictable humiliation for Sunak & Cleverly, but £29k is still absurdly high #r4today
