Hi, I'm Filipe.

Most days look like this: coffee, a plant in the background, and some agent I'm trying to make reliable enough for real work. I've spent the last few years building systems that move money and now I'm deep in agentic AI, but the rhythm stays the same. Code a bit, step away, water the plants, come back and fix what broke.

I'm married, and soon I'll be a dad to a little girl. That changes the way I think about the things I ship. I want the systems I touch to be quieter, more dependable, and a little better for the world she's going to grow up in. Not louder. Just more solid.

Coding isn't really a separate thing for me anymore. It's just how I spend the day, between the coffee, the plants, and the occasional late-night deploy when something needs to be right.

I’m building software to help parents take care of their kids, and I started wondering how AI could fit into it.

Here’s my question: Would you prefer to use a built-in AI assistant inside the app, or connect your own AI assistant to it via MCP?
