Working on @solana since 2020 and this was my first breakpoint. Finally, I made it. My highlights:

Team: I got the privilege of spending some quality time with almost all of my team (@aliquotchris @SabMaratovna, @filipp_sher and @bjoerndotsol) and experiencing Bjoern’s warm hugs is something quite magical. Love all of you.

Friends: Love seeing old friends and meeting new ones. i’ve made so many internet friends that I never met IRL. I always have my real name on the badge so people don’t know who I am but the moment I say my handle (or they do) we instantly become the Chris Pratt meme.

Product: I’ve had so many interesting conversations and I’m super excited about what’s coming. We may have not presented at this breakpoint but @saydialect has been cooking some awesome stuff and I cannot wait for us to share it all with you guys.

Community: I’m fortunate to be a part of @MonkeDAO and @thelibraryvc so I got to spend amazing time with smart and kind people. The laughters and experiences will stay with me forever.

So many people I wish I could have met (or reconnect with). It makes me look forward to future events even more!
One other thing I didn’t unlock is meeting @toly in person. So that’ll have to be next time so we can reminisce about the chewing glass podcast back in late 2020/early 2021.

I think that someday we'll move from the whitelist model to a blacklist model. You have to understand, due to the amount of crazy and not so crazy things happening on solana and web3 in general, it was important to have some gatekeeping to make sure the initial actions were safe to use, as well as give an idea to other what can be built.
Right now the registry entry processing is quite quick and more automated security measures are in place. So if you have an action you want to submit, feel free! @aliquotchris can back me up here I think.

Ah, well, since .sol, .blink and others are not valid TLDs, they are not considered valid urls, and since Solana Actions spec works by making request to shared urls (action api urls and/or mapped action urls through actions.json), it's not something that was targeted initially. If there was a service that could map a .sol/.blink/etc domain to a domain with a standartized TLD, that would be a different topic, imo.

Love this question! Going be a long answer. I believe that actions and blinks are the missing pieces of the puzzle that can close the gap between web2 and web3. Being able to act on something without leaving the place you're currently in is awesome. Web3 (in my mind at least) is majorly about decentralization generally. Not only infra, but also products, services and generally interfaces.

That said, native integrations are important here. Imagine a payment provider blink where you have a mix of paypal/stripe/phantom on a shopify website (without implementing individual integrations), instead of using traditional iframe/redirect approach. Imagine having a small blink in one's X profile description shared to a gofundme page or to buy merch. Even though this list is mostly around purchases/donations, it's not only that.

So a true unlock for me would be for the spec to become something of a eureka moment for major players that would increase the adoption. And in order to achieve that the spec needs to be flexible, UI-oriented on the base level. As a start, allowing developers to dictate the layout clearer (element positions), adding variants for a since action (similar to twitter cards: large, small, etc). Longer run: having the blink/action itself handle authentication (connect wallet, tiplink wallet, traditional OAuth2 maybe).
