Yeah, I remember it started with “teenagers shouldn’t date adults” which was targeted at relationships like 16 and 24. Then it developed into “actually very young adults dating older adults is also not okay because of the power imbalance” and it meant like 20 year olds dating 40 year old. Now it’s like “if you’re 18 and date a 16 year old, you’re a pedophile” and “if you’re 29 and date a 23 year old you’re a pedophile”, “if you’re 40 and are friends with a 20 year old you’re a pedophile”. People just take it to insane extremes and I have no idea how this shit devolved like that.
