Jesus calls us to be light in the darkness, exposing those things that are not like God no matter where we find them, even in those organizations we greatly love. We are called to sit apart when those who stand together are disobedient to Him.
As it appears that the passengers of the OceanGate Titan are likely out of oxygen I want to bring up a few important points:
1) Humans are human no matter their wealth. I see a lot of hate towards wealthy people but also a lot less care towards the poor.
2) These people risked their lives for adventure. There is nothing wrong with that. Immigrants risk their lives just to live a normal life, every day yet often are looked down to, however.
3) Every life is as valuable as any other.
4) Hating people because of success is just as bad as hating people because of their lack of success or their differences.
5) Be better
Much has been said throughout the centuries about what it means to be female. Men have said most of it. Woman have been labeled the weaker sex, the second sex, the subordinate sex, and the devil’s gateway. The church fathers had much to say about women. Here are a few examples:
Someone who has practiced deception cannot change immediately because the sin patterns are so habituated and hidden even from themselves. Anyone who engages in abusive behavior has practiced self-deception. They have practiced avoiding the truth.
We can pray our heads off for unity, love, growth, wonders, supernatural power, strength, spiritual understanding, discernment, increased gifting & anointing but if we quench the Spirit with our rivalries, carnalities, egos, overcontrol & constant strife, we’ve wasted our breath.
God wants us to stand on the absolute truth that He is with us no matter how our feelings may betray that reality. When I process life through my feelings, I am left deceived and disillusioned. But when I process life through God’s truth, I am divinely comforted by His love.
