I’m standing for re-election to Labour's NEC.
My family was lifted out of poverty by a Labour Government, and I've dedicated my life to our movement ever since.
Over the last four years, I've championed members, campaigned for our candidates and worked to strengthen our party from the grassroots up.
If you're attending your CLP nomination meeting, I'd be grateful for your support. 🌹
There's much more to do but on #IWD we celebrate our successes! Read about just some of our amazing sisters: https://t.co/9O2mKqb1po and then join LWN.
LWN's training works 💪 In GE2024, 58% of the incredible 100 new Labour women MPs were grads of LWN training and workshops!
Another day another doorknock!
Lots of Labour teams out including Tribune Group MPs and other MPs. A great reception on the doors in Gorton.
Remember, the only party that can beat Reform is Labour.
Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, marking over 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. We remember the 6 million Jewish men, women and children murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators. As survivors grow fewer and antisemitism rises, today is more vital than ever.
The minimum wage when it was introduced in 1999 took millions out of poverty including my own family.
Raising both the National Living Wage and Minimum Wage will take us a step closer to bringing down poverty.
Decisions only possible with a Labour Government.
This Remembrance Sunday, we remember those who gave everything, and those who continue to serve, safeguarding the peace and protecting the very freedoms we enjoy today.
On land, at sea and throughout the country, the nation stood together today in an act of silent, solemn remembrance for the men and women who laid down their lives so that we may live in freedom.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.
Backbench or frontbench, elected office is not about us, but our chance to change the lives of others for the better.
From wherever I sit on these benches, I will fight with everything I have to do exactly that.
The attack on Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Crumpsall today was a violent and antisemitic act of terror.
Our thoughts remain with the victims and their families and our thanks go to the heroic first responders.
One of the hardest-working MPs at conference? 😉
From the Jamaica Party to debating housing, digitising democracy, @BCorporation sustainable growth & engaging young people in politics plus a DJ set for @LabourList!
Always great to spend time with members and share ideas.
I'm standing to be a full time Deputy Leader of the Labour Party - a bridge between our movement and our members.
Thank you to members for nominating me at their CLP meetings. If you want to join my campaign sign up at https://t.co/C75YNEz28z

I want this Labour Government to succeed, and sometimes that means having difficult conversations.

Our great Deputy Leaders have connected the heart of the Party with the head of the government - that’s what I’ll do.
