“Truly Madly Deeply” is from Savage Garden’s 1997 self-titled debut album. The romantic pop ballad became the Australian duo’s biggest international hit, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, topping the charts in Australia and Canada and spending 10 weeks at #1 on the US Adult Contemporary chart.

Originally titled "Magical Kisses," the song was inspired by Darren Hayes's relationship with his wife and was further developed after the band's label encouraged the duo to include a romantic ballad on their debut album. Hayes recorded the final lead vocals in a makeshift studio in his bedroom in Brisbane, giving the performance an intimate quality.
