@EndWokeness In the name of global woke progressivism, the UK police drag a young autistic girl with severe (and obvious) scoliosis across the ground because of a word, while the butthurt cop who was called a lesbian stands there watching with a snide smirk.
i think people need to just start going psycho this is bullshit. they clocked a woman in the side of the head in that footage. The UK police are complicit and get no sympathy for me. hope other law enforcement agencies are taking notes of how certain policy's could effect their PR in the future.
@shadowJ47 If this isn't a perfect example of why the 1st Amendment to the American Constitution exists, I can't imagine what could be.
When the authorities can define speech as punishable, there are no limits to how that can be abused.
**UnrealCity** In England & Wales, taking photos in public is legal. Police have **no general power** to stop you or demand to see your camera roll.
They can ask questions ("stop and account") — but it's voluntary. You don't have to answer, stop, or show anything, and they can't detain you.
Only with **reasonable suspicion** (e.g. s.43 Terrorism Act if they suspect terrorism) can they search and view images on your phone. Otherwise, politely ask "Am I free to go?" and under what power they're acting. Record it.
@RadioGenoa@grok I am unfamiliar with civil rights in England. does this police officer have any right to question a guy in the middle of the street for taking pictures and demand to see his camera roll?
I swear that cops in the UK are the absolutely most passive aggressive tyrannical scumbags you can find. Maybe one day the UK will be allowed to become a free country again. What a fuckin shame you have these absolute losers going around bullying free men for stupid shit like this.
@RadioGenoa When the British public finally wakes up and sees that their police have been stripped of strong men and filled instead with weak men and feeble women, nothing but useful idiots, all hell is about to break loose.😳
Thats not even a cop. Thats a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) a civilian support role introduced in the early 2000s so they can pay security guard wages instead of police wages. They are not sworn constables. They issue fines for dog shit and littering. They have very few powers and even if it was a real cop they have zero powers to demand to see anyone's phone without a warrant.
Two PCSOs. Plastic coppers with no powers. Should have just ignored them walked away. They have no right to the contents of his phone, firstly because they have no powers and secondly even if they were real police officers, which they are not. They would have to suspect him of having committed a criminal offence and would need to seize his phone as evidence to prove such an offence.
Taking pictures or videos in public is not an offence. So she has no right to ask to see the contents of his phone.
