An amazing (Amazing! 👈 Yes it's echoing lmao🤣🤣🤣) and in-depth interview of Koji Fox talking about XVI, and "the lore book".

The vid is fresh. The interview itself took place a few months ago. The questions, Koji's answers, were all so good that imho, almost every second of the vid was valuable. I probably won't cut clips, but will put the timestamps and some points below.
1. 0:24 "Why are Bearers looked down upon, rather than admired?"
- A really heart-breaking background and suffering that the bearers have to go through😢
2. 3:24 "Which aspects of FFXVI would you like to have explored in greater detail?"
- Koji: Um..all of those? XD
He revealed that even very small, nameless characters, for example, even the courtesan that Cid handed his money to in Oriflamme, has a backstory in the lore book.
3. 7:39 "Was Bahamut vs Odin somewhat inspired by Bahamut vs Alexander in FFIX?"
4. 8:10 "In the game's planning phase, was there any discussion about including Alexander or any other summons from previous games?"
- The original 8 Eikons+Ifrit were decided at the start.
5. 9:40 "Were there any lines or scenes that were challenging or which took a while to get just right?"
- The answer was a surprise and I love how details Koji described it!!
6. 14:00 "Which characters particularly stood out and grew on you more over time as you worked on the game?"
7. 15:49 "What was the reasoning behind the brief section early on, where we play as Joshua at Phoenix Gate?"
8. 16:53 "Was there any discussion about looking more into Cid's life and backstory, and why he took the path he did?"
- There will be 2 pages on Cid!!!🤩Including a love letter from Benna to Cid!
9. 19:06 "From a storytelling point of view, how important is it to build up that wealth of history and lore?"
- I love that he said "I think the FF16 world remains with a lot of players because it was crafted in a way that contains so much detail that you wanna know more about it." Absolutely Koji! Thank you for giving us the chance to know about the amazing lore!!
10. 22:23 "What challenge were there when it comes to writing or translating the script?"
- He spoke about different accents in the Eng dub and it was truly amazing! Hence makes the game so unique!!!
11. 27:01 "If there was a royal rumble between all Eikons at once - would Ifrit have enough to emerge victorious?"
- Koji's answer was soooooo funny!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
12. 28:30 "Was there any temptation to include a segment where we get to play as Torgal?"
13. 29:55 "Is the Ultima we see the same antagonist that was envisaged from the outset, or did he evolve much while FFXIV was being developed?"
14. 32:10 "On the subject of the book we see in the post-credits scene..what are your thoughts on who actually wrote it?"
- Koji's answer was so sweet ^^
Thank you so much to Koji and the Youtuber. The questions were so well structured, and Koji answered them in so much depth. I learnt a lot about XVI. Thank you!!🙏🙏🙏
Loving this game more and more every day...❤️
Zidane's 'character quote' now follows the original Japanese's more closely - compared to the original English version of Final Fantasy IX
As do the quotes for the other characters
