Sophia of Hanover’s son, George I, was of German descent through both parents. He was born in Hanover, Germany, and was a member of the House of Hanover. His father, Ernest Augustus, was a German prince, and his mother, Sophia, was a German-born princess of the Palatinate. Despite his German origins, George I became King of Great Britain and Ireland in 1714 due to his Protestant lineage and his position in the line of succession established by the Act of Settlement 1701.The Act of Settlement 1701 ensured that the crowns of England, Scotland, and Ireland would remain in Protestant hands by excluding Roman Catholics from the succession. It designated Sophia of Hanover and her Protestant heirs as the next in line after Queen Anne, effectively sealing the succession under Protestant rule.

This act was a direct response to fears of a Catholic monarchy returning to power after the Glorious Revolution of 1688. It stipulated that anyone who was or married a Roman Catholic would be disqualified from inheriting the throne. When Queen Anne died in 1714, the crown passed to Sophia’s son, George I, establishing the Hanoverian dynasty and firmly anchoring the British monarchy in Protestantism

The core provisions of the Act of Settlement 1701 are still in effect, meaning its impact "never ended."

Something went wrong in 1922, Ireland was supposed to gain its independence, it never really did, then came 1924 and Ireland ended up with unlicensed courts, and has even stuck under the same political nepotism rule, there's fraudulent documents all over the place.

Brehon Law didn’t end in one day, but the Crown of Ireland Act 1542 began its destruction. When Henry VIII declared himself “King of Ireland,” Gaelic chiefs were forced into English feudal law through Surrender and Regrant, and by the early 1600s the old Brehon system was outlawed entirely. In less than a century, Ireland’s native legal tradition was replaced by English common law and the sovereignty of Ériú was overwritten.

Sofia of Hanover in the early 1700s, the woman whose lineage was used to lock Ireland (and Britain) under a new foreign dynasty. The 1701 Act of Settlement made her heirs the only lawful monarchs, tightening the Crown’s grip and sealing in a succession that had no roots in Ériú at all.

The so-called “Irish Free State” kept us tied to the Crown, its courts, its creditors, and its hidden legal machinery. Instead of restoring Brehon principles or true sovereignty of the people, a new corporate-government structure was imposed over Ériú. Independence became a story we were taught, not a reality we were given.

Brehon Law was not Catholic, it was older than Rome itself. It came from the ancient Gaels, rooted in custom, kinship, honour, and natural law. It wasn’t imposed by any church or empire, and it existed long before Christianity arrived in Ériú. What replaced it was foreign, but Brehon Law was purely native, the true law of the land and the people.
