It didn't all the way feel like the same listening experience that the intro record prepped me for.

Which you can take two ways. One, you could look at as an indictment on cohesion or length. Perhaps if it was shorter, and an EP, it'd be even more fire.

Or you could look at it another way: that this project is a potpourri of everything that Zay Finale has to offer. A sampler so that you can see his range (stylistically, not lyrically). There's not really much lyrically that will grip me and hit my soul, but the SOUND was dope.

Overall I leave Do Your Thing with a positive impression. I'd voluntarily listen to a second project. Especially to see how he grows. There's potential here for sure, and I'd be interested to listen to something where he focuses on one lane and really flushes it out.

Oh, I listened to Do Your Thing voluntarily too. The marketing for it was fire. The cover art was fire. I respect good marketing so I made sure to give it a spin.

and one more thing, I dont mean to imply that everything gotta be lyrical miracle, deep and complex.

I like lighthearted music too. You need some shit that you can listen to on the way to the club, or while you're at the bar or in the Kickbacks.

MY personal bag is the other shit, which is why sometimes a song or sound aint for me. But i respect it for what it is.

@finalebrown I don't have alot to say about this track. Solid way to finish the album.

I have more to say about the sequencing of the project as a whole. There are some definite standouts and I don't mean to say that it dipped off at the end, but the songs weren't for me.
