@theSNP “70,000 jobs lost. 50,000 jobs at risk.”
After 19 years in government, the SNP is blaming everyone except the SNP.
At some point, outcomes matter more than slogans.
@staylorish@These_Islands As ever, the Scottish Government (and to a lesser extent WM) are focused on the wrong side of the equation.
Both powers have the ability to reduce the pressure on consumers through taxation, and, job creation.
But that doesn’t suit the big bad capitalist narrative.
A man spends 50 years teaching at MIT.
He knows his time is running out.
So he records one last lecture — everything he knows, distilled into a single hour.
He died 5 months later.
This is that lecture.
The most important hour you'll watch this week. 👇

@L__Macfarlane@SirTomHunter He is correct. Scottish Government analysis shows, only 11 percent of Scottish adults pay the higher or top rate in 23.
Yet, those taxpayers contribute c. 65 percent of all tax revenues.
That’s the analysis of the Scottish government.
@MareeToddMSP “Democracy doesn’t mean rerunning the same referendum every time one side dislikes the result.
Scotland voted in 2014. Decisively. Calling the UK a ‘voluntary union’ doesn’t mean perpetual referendums until nationalism finally gets a Yes.”
Leading energy experts on SNP energy bills claim:
“an extraordinarily unrealistic assertion”
“singularly lacking in empirical underpinnings”
“The claimed saving seems impossible to validate as well as being such a significant reduction on bills as to be highly questionable.”
@JohnSwinney Why don’t you use all your powers to grow the economy, promote constituent self sufficiency where possible and bring jobs.
So far it’s a race to the bottom. You do know that the government require revenue to execute these policies …………
John Swinney says that on day one of a new SNP government, he will request a Section 30 order transferring powers over energy to the Scottish Parliament.
If this was a serious idea, you’d expect the civil service to have done some preparatory work. So… have they? Of course not.
@HeatherSNP@theSNP Good lord Heather. Engage your brain 🧠 if control was the key to lower bills, the uk would already be the cheapest place to live in the🌍
We really need the media/those in power (and not @theSNP) to call this out …..
@IainCathro@BillyB_UK@THSNP@ScottishLabour Advocating for Brexit through Scexit in 2014; campaigning against Brexit in 2016; advocating for Scexit again, whilst blaming Brexit.
Can anyone follow the logic of this ?
Màiri McAllan seems to believe that an independent Scotland would end global conflicts by “proposing peace”.
If only someone had thought of this before. Actually, they have. It was Jeremy Corbyn.
