PoS: 51% attack will take probably a lower initial investment.

But, each 51% ->hard fork iteration will require the attacker to destroy a significant value of their own holdings. It will be hard for anyone to keep up the attack, as long as the community is quick to respond.

Quite possible to do for nation states.

Will probably result in a hard fork, which can in turn (recursively) be 51% attacked again by the same actors, without any/negligible destruction in value for the attacker.
