After walking around the tops of these cliffs at Ronda, it was only when I looked from the other side of the gorge I realised how precarious it all looks with the huge cracks in the rock faces.

Stopped at a cafe for lunch and someone’s trying to let me know I should have ordered extra tapas. Food really focuses this old girls attention and her face becomes increasingly worried looking as the amount available on the plate diminishes.

A wander through Ronda.
We took a long scenic drive up into the mountains to the beautiful town of Ronda. The views from its elevated position were stunning and the bridge built into the deep gorge is a sight to behold.

After a drive up into the mountains we spent the afternoon at Casares watching vultures soaring in the thermals either looking for prey or just having a great time effortlessly flying. Only when they get up close do you realise just how big and majestic these birds of prey are.
When your dog lays claim to a random patch of beach and tries to make herself look dominant, tough and assertive to a passing chihuahua.

Final selection of photos from the Muelle de las Carabelas. Walking around and inside these sailing vessels really does fire up the imagination of what life must have been like for these adventurers, sailing into the unknown under the command of Christopher Columbus.

A collection of photos from Muelle de las Carabelas. Interested in early ocean explorers? This place is an absolute must see. Being interested in everything boats and oceans I was in child mode climbing inside the ships and imagining how it would have been hundreds of years ago.
