Our #oceanacidification expert, Meg Chadsey, is speaking to the Van Alen Climate Council about OA (with visuals from @find_zoe) 💧 and kelp aquaculture 🌱 as a means of mitigation. More to come!
Climate change and ocean acidification can be difficult concepts to grasp. Luckily, science communicator @find_zoe is here to make it easier #scicomm https://t.co/SZfcpn360x
Hey look it's me! @UWEnvironment interviewed me for their June #scicomm story which highlights my summer working for @OlympicNational & my experience communicating #climatechange & #OA to Park visitors (plus art obvi) // https://t.co/VH7aEHhvC0
Happy #FishyFriday! Though they reach the size of a school bus, whale sharks eat tiny plankton and fish eggs, which they filter feed as they swim slowly along with their giant mouths wide open.
Since #chemistry isn't always accessible to non-scientist audiences, @find_zoe uses #art#sciart to help explain the process of #ocean acidification.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
I'll go first:
“Believe in yourself! Anyone can be a scientist, including you. Try things that are outside of your comfort zone because it will help you grow. Also, learn to code!”

500 Women Scientists is launching a fellowship to recognize and amplify the crucial role of women of color in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Please consider donating to this effort. https://t.co/9KDZHn8a05
This thread is awesome and relatable as someone who personally struggles with mental health issues. Most of my paintings have been of natural environments & processes but I’m feeling really inspired to create a series that depicts my own struggles with depression & anxiety 🤔
