Been posting on my other social about this, so here's line up of every game I've played this year

11. Metroid: Zero Mission (NS)
I can appreciate what this game does, and objectively speaking it’s very good… but it also helped affirm my opinion that I don’t like Metroidvanias.
13. Marvel Cosmic Invasion (PS5)
Beautiful pixel art and a lot of incentive for multiple playthroughs, though it didn't full win me over due to a general lack of familiarity with the actual comics and the gameplay getting a bit repetitive by the end.
10. Hang-On (Arcade)
After playing Super Hang-On a bunch of times in Yakuza, finally getting to play the original on a proper cabinet makes you realise how much better this game feels to play with bike handlebars.
9. The Simpsons Arcade Game (Arcade)
Managed to play a 4-player game with my family.
It's very simple but I enjoyed my time with it, though we had to stop by level 4 because my dad's hand was cramping from the button mashing.

8. OutRun 2 SP: Special Tours (Arcade)
It's basically just OutRun but with 3D visuals and a few other bells and whistles, and luckily I already like OutRun after playing it multiple times in Yakuza.
7. Buzzsaw+ (ZX Spectrum)
It's basically a fan made Spectrum conversion of Cosmo Gang The Puzzle/Pac-Attack, so if you like either of those or just puzzle games in general you'll like this.
6. Mayhem (ZX81)
Very simple but pretty fun and addicting projectile dodging game.
Would recommend trying if you either have the means of playing microcomputer games, or can make it to the Retro Computer Museum in Leicester.
5. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight (PS5)
Very solid effort of making an Arkham game for kids clearly made by people who love the character.
Only real major complaint I have is some WB over-monetisation with skins locked behind buying real Lego sets & HBO Max subscription.
4. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (NS)
It’s basically the same thing as the last one but with more customisation options and gay people… so pretty good.
3. Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties (PS5)
https://t.co/tFAgbLWswe
tl;dr: I stand by the fact that I think it’s a good game, but K3 often feels misguided in attempts to “fix” issues the original version of 3 had, & DT is a 90 min movie that was stretched out to be a 3 hour long game.
2. Kirby Air Riders (NS2)
Depending on the mode, this is either a more simplified Mario Kart with a lot more content on offer than grand prix & time trial, or the racing game equivalent of crack (without the downsides).
1. Yakuza (PS2)
If you’re willing to put up with some minor cases of first game syndrome and PS2 clunk, I’d say it’s just as fine a way to experience the story as the remake.
Though maybe emulate it, if for no other reason than to avoid the famously bad English dub.
Posts will mostly be updates on videos releasing, or otherwise just talking about games I played recently.
(Admittedly I mostly just use this site for following game news and art).
Figured I'd try reviving this account after not using it for years, so for the 9 people still following this account here's near enough everything that's been happening since I stopped posting here:
