@angusjuliastone Hi, would love to know if you still have that lovely Magnatone guitar? It has great historical connections with its designer Paul Barth. Would love to see photos 🙏

@jefftoddtiton@ChiBluesHistory@rdone Not really true, Beauchamp and Barth created the horseshoe pickup, in Beauchamp’s garage, and on Barth’s mothers kitchen table. They lived a short drive from each other. Rickenbacker had the money and the machinery to make the frying pans and insisted they use his name.
Rubbing shoulders with fabulous, Grammy award winning guitarist Albert Lee tonight. Gave him a copy of Finding Fretless to read on the flight home to LA.
When you knock out the whole electricity network in LA from your kitchen table using your mothers sewing machine, what’s your excuse? Mum, we are making an electric guitar! Paul Barth, George Beauchamp in 1930 #guitar#rickenbacker
@BBC_ARoadshow there is a big coincidence/link between the Walker Brothers tour, Hendrix signature, and the Ray Russell @thebeatles Fretless guitar. Hendrix and Russell were on the same tour and more…..

Very sad news about Australian music legend Mark Moffatt
He was right when he claimed to have worked on one of the rarest of Beatles guitars, the ‘secret’, ‘mad’, Bartell Fretless when the ‘experts’ denied its existence! RIP Mark 😢
