Mrs. McGrew and her room 10 first graders FINDING their learning path. Everyday lets always be challenged to find answers, solutions, and ourselves as we grow!
Room 10 has a new friend! After lots of wondering, questioning, and researching we welcomed Nibbles the hamster into our classroom to support our animal habitat STEM unit! He is a great addition and the students already love talking to him and reading to him ❤️🐹 #GKBNoLimits
Room 10 kiddos are hard at work on their eLearning today and I am taking advantage of my own children playing quietly! Doing some teacher growth and reading Spirit Whisperers....the insight in this book is huge ❤️ #GKBNoLimits#neverstoplearning#bookstudy#spiritwhisperer
Books can lift children out of difficult situations, encourage them to dream, spark their imagination, & most importantly, give them hope. Reading is a window to the world, a connection to history, geography, science, & the arts. Let’s inspire all kids to read! #WednesdayWisdom
This teamwork game is called “hot lava” but when the trending game right now is called “the floor is lava” you change the name a little 😜 working on teamwork on day 2! #GKBNOLIMITS
“The best thing about being a teacher is that it matters. The hardest thing about being a teacher is that it matters every day.” A huge shoutout to GKB teachers and staff on their first day back! #GKBNOLIMITS
I love having community members come in! Last week Mr. Kelham from Garrett State Bank came in to teach about spending, saving, and charity with a read aloud! Today we had Rachel Hood, a nursing student, teach us about exercise. Both were great lessons for our kiddos! #gkbheroes
15 students in room 10 completed their spring break reading challenge!! Some of these kiddos even sent me pictures of them reading while on vacation! I am so proud! #growingreaders#gkbheroes
We are all wonders! I've never heard these kids so quiet as they write compliments for each other, they are taking this so serious ❤️#choosekind#wonderbookproject
J.E. Ober students had special visitors this afternoon. Thank you to the High School students that came to the classrooms and celebrated Christmas with the younger students. What a great way to start Christmas break! #gkbheroes
