Not all possibilities for sanctions have been exhausted yet. The pressure on Russia must increase. Said this to @Vonderleyen. I am grateful to the President for her decision on additional financial assistance.
We cannot sleep safely because Military soldiers release prisoners to attack civilians. They set fire up, break in to the houses at night and put poison in our drinking water. Citizens of Myanmar lost safetiness .

We are enraged by the mass arrest and urge the Free World to deploy, including but not limited to sanctions over officials responsible for the violations of human rights and to hit the brakes for any investment agreement under way.

1. The current political crackdown is not only limited to the winners of the 2020 Pro-Democracy Primary Elections, nor is it limited to the Resistance Camp formed after the Primaries. This is a large-scale liquidation involving 52 democrats across different political spectrums.
In response to Hong Kong's political crackdown, I urge the European Parliament to halt the EU-China investment deal and EU to sanction China&HK officials who are responsible to the arrests.
#Retweet if you agree MEP should VETO the bill and EU should act.

53 most prominent politicians and activists who participated in the democratic primaries have been arrested this morning. This unprecedented mass arrest has been the biggest crackdown since the implementation of the National Security Law in Hong Kong.😡

Last time we met was at the primaries. I remember her happily asking us : “Do you notice anything different? It’s the first time I dye my hair!”
That’s the life our youngsters should lead. Not locked up by the dictatorship, not exiled from our homes.

I’m deeply troubled by reports of the arrest of @JimmyLaiApple under Hong Kong’s draconian National Security Law. Further proof that the CCP has eviscerated Hong Kong’s freedoms and eroded the rights of its people.
Hours of interrogation haven’t dented @JimmyLaiApple’s humour. The following exchange happened when the questioned on the subject of his boat.
Police: “what’s on the boat”
Jimmy : “nothing”
Police: “what’s under the boat”
Jimmy: “a fucking engine”
Even the police laughed. 🤣
