@davidflucier Good grief, Trump, has always shown tremendous respect for those who serve this country. The families wanted him at their Arlington event. The families wanted the photos. He was being accommodating to them out of respect for their desired way of honoring those they lost.

I have no illusions about Trump but I can see past his flaws & focus on his policy, which is actually pretty moderate & even liberal at times

His lack of realizing how racist he sounds is something I’ve experienced w/people I did know well who weren’t racist.

Maybe a little ignorance, maybe a little naivety. Should he try to do better? Absolutely. But I don’t think it’s fair to call him a racist.

Trump LOOKS racist because he isn’t. He doesn’t think in those terms when he speaks. It’s an unfortunate irony.
