Davido
For some reason, Davido is terrible at picking songs to market on most of his albums. Dating back to the feature with Nicki which he didn't put out a video for, to some songs on timeless, he does this thing where he ignores the good music and goes with what's popping. While one can say it's better to pay attention to the widely accepted songs, the rest fade into the shadows simply cos of poor marketing. Take For the Road for example. It's top 3 songs on the album, but he abandons it and goes after Unavailable, which I think is only better than 2 songs on the same album. He did try with Kante, but it would have done way better than it did if he paid just a little more attention to it. Dare I say it'll have been as successful as Wizkid and Tem's Essence.
Finally the latest single should not be on his forth coming album. It failed at what it wanted to do; make people dance. It sounds good as something you play in the studio, laugh over and tell the producer to bin.
Hopefully he understood the assignment with the rest of the songs.
