This year I survived a potentially life threatening infection (developed from mastitis). I am so grateful that I didn't delay seeking help and for the NHS. And I am so glad that I have the life I do. #LoveLife

@CantabKitty Wow, those comments! I have children and find it funny. Important thing is choice, and availability of help to allow women to choose. Though I didn't really wear heels or lipstick before having children so maybe I'm doing it all wrong 😂

@MisterGBrown @teacher_cath @MissStanleyYr6 GCSEs and A Levels definitely aren't open book this year! For Maths, all it does is slightly narrow down which paper each topic may appear on. Still agree the SATs situation is ridiculous.

@MissAmilahS Love teaching A Level (Maths and FM). Love the challenge of breaking concepts down and linking different areas, seeing it all come together in students minds. Even the preparing for exams part! Sometimes worry it looks like I want the "easy" teaching option, so good to hear this!

He’d have practiced taking penalties. He’s a great player and an excellent penalty taker. The true greats of our game have all missed penalties. Also helping to feed hungry children is not politics, it’s just basic human kindness…something this young man possesses in abundance.

This makes me so angry. I'm "lucky" that my baby was 6 months old at the start of the 1st lockdown... yet it still left me at breaking point. The lack of support for mums (and dads) and babies is shocking ☹.

Online learning seems to have so much more admin than in person (more pupil emails, more uploading...) and marking takes sooooo long on a screen :-/ But at least I have work to keep me busy this lockdown!

My Y12 Further Maths are an exam class as they take A level Maths this year... surely other subjects have exams in year 12 too (BTEC??)

The dreaded email from nursery telling us the toddler is a close contact and needs to self-isolate. Comparing timetables to see who stays home when... wondering how to manage a full time job in only 3 days/week, when they're full teaching days plus form plus activities... 😭

@media_walsh @maternityCPD @MaternityAction I think most lessons of hers were with 6th form so didn't need actual cover in the room. She's on mat leave now, so not sure how full her timetable was either, knowing she'd only have 7 weeks teaching. It's a tough time to be pregnant!
