We had a great workshop today with #NGSS educators from around the world! There is still a day left to sign up if you can join us for our next one, “Keeping All Students Engaged With Remote Learning.” https://t.co/AYgtPNPbrp @STANYSorg@nysmtp#nyssls#blendedlearning
Can I be unprofessional for a moment and scream about the fact that our bios and workshops are now up on https://t.co/qStYHpfehS with @paulandersen !!??!! @cookie_barker and I are so thankful for this opportunity for the @3DScienceCafe!
Are looking for high quality professional learning at an affordable price this summer? Please check out our offerings at https://t.co/s7wECO4sLp Thanks!
@paulandersen@neiltyson Great demo @paulandersen ... loving how there are threads that have followed through all of the presentations and how each presenter has adjusted to add on to the themes began before them. Great job all at the #scicconf
@dugganhaas hits the nail on the head - we need to strengthen our interdisciplinary approach in order to effectively teach about the world’s big problems. #STANYS2019
@pentaclethra @rebeccalshuman The doc used on @rebeccalshuman’s slides is @cookiebarker’s 3D Experimental Design Sheet: https://t.co/hPWtbZL4ps - I also have an elementary document if you want it.
Understanding the energy contained within a system is a critical understanding in any subject... from magnetism, to gravity, to bonding... A great #phenomenon to explore #NYSSLS#NGSS shifts as we model using crosscutting concepts. @3DScienceCafe@paulandersen@NYSMTP@STANYSorg
@KevinCampana1 @Flipgrid @alicekeeler@classcraftgame@MrMerrillsClass@jmattmiller I’ve found @Flipgrid is a great way for student lab groups to document their work over time - when they are working on a lab or engineering task I can’t be everywhere at once, so they can record themselves narrating their work.
@hawaiiest@teacher2teacher I love having #teachtheteacherday in my class. Students make a test about something they really love, give it to me to take (I fail!). Then they make a lesson (usually slideshow), teach it to me, and I retake. Could be useful here!
