@JaneCaro What is the point of that Tik Tok? Chiding people or children that don't go to Church or read the Bible, guilting couples that are deeply unsuited into staying together or implying that only religious people are secure?
@andrew_barnum @ShiannonC Oh I think many people in conservative politics think that those that "do" or "take the lead" should benefit from the spoils. The cultivation of populist brand is part of it. They balance how many they can tread on before they get voted out.
@ShiannonC Property development and connections to power. There is always a cohort of people that will enter politics from local government level upwards for development purposes - could be a freight road, could be rezonings, could be procurement etc. Been happening throughout history.
@lesstenny He's not unusual just a political pawn in culture wars. Trying to redeem him to show females that the LNP are good people and women should vote for them. Wealthy people "campaigning" to protect their financial interests by trying to get the LNP elected.
@JulianAndrew63 Like Angus and the LNP would have offered any raise in minimum wage or relief. It's a joke. They laid the foundation for what we are facing in terms of housing affordability and inflation.
@master_grundy Perhaps they do not release information before the official press release. Otherwise information will be distorted before the government can explain to the public its intent. They are then stuck battling misinformation rather than questions about the project/policy.
@wayne_kosh They are very peeved about the extra water to the Murray River and the up-tick in funding for renewables. Hedge fund billionaires and certain ex pats in London up to their old tricks probably.
@murpharoo I am fatigued by all the outrage. No one in the street even talks about half the stuff Dutton even goes on about. Keep on governing and focus on the priorities otherwise it will look like parliament isn't doing its job. Dutton in the end just sounds like an opposition leader.
@AshleyLeahy Essentially an industrial revolution is underway in Australia and in sectors of the world. It's a tough gig but stability and putting in place the changes to upskilling, sorting labour gaps, getting new energy suppliers, massive infrastructure etc. The LNP team is inferior.
@PRGuy17 Shampoo, some dairy and cleaning products. Have to shop around. Hard to know exactly how much gouging is truly happening. The costs faced by business have increased - heating/cooling, freight and packaging. Who produces the packaging and competition in the market?
