After completing his Diploma in Higher Education in Professional Golf, PGA Member Chris Finnie secured a role as an Assistant Professional at Atlanta Athletic Club, where he spent a year applying the coaching and business skills developed during his studies.

While studying, Chris balanced his time at Gullane with a flexible, hybrid learning programme. This allowed him to develop practical experience alongside academic knowledge, from coaching principles to the realities of running a golf business. Those combined skills proved invaluable when managing tournaments, supporting members and contributing to day-to-day operations in a high-performance environment.

His journey highlights the value of education, experience and embracing new opportunities within the game.
