Gross Direct Tax collections for FY 2023-24 upto 10th August, 2023 are at Rs. 6.53 lakh crore, higher by 15.73% over gross collections for corresponding period of preceding year.

Net collections at Rs. 5.84 lakh crore are 17.33% higher than net collections for the corresponding period of last year.

Refunds of Rs. 69,000 crore have been issued upto 10th August, 2023 which are 3.73% higher than the refunds issued during the corresponding period in the preceding year.
