@fyrebear We’re better positioned than many assume. Between the Brooklyn swap, PHX pick and our own pick, we will have the best odds in the draft next year.
Still think Amen, Jabari and Reed could have fringy all-star upside in their primes.
No bad contracts.
Mat Ishbia SHUTS DOWN any talk about the Suns trading Devin Booker 🙌
"[He] is going to lead us to a championship here in Phoenix... I'll ride into a fire with Devin Booker, and I'll do it proudly."
@RedNinetyFour For better or worse, Reed’s game is loud. Whether he’s hitting a logo 3 or misses a defensive assignment, you notice everything he does.
But loud or not, the results speak for themselves. We are a better team with Reed on the floor.
@BiasedHouston You’re not ever going to have only elite shooters on the floor. Jabari and Tari are competent enough.
This isn’t some wild theory. 2 nonshooters doesn’t work in the playoffs, and it barely works during the season.
Trading Capela because of Westbrook happened like 5 years ago.
@fyrebear I think the unstated problem is that while he is capable of good offense and even decent defense, he has not shown the ability to sustain it over the course of a season.
That’s in part what I don’t think simply a more “optimized” roster around him will be enough.
@zorongeeko@RedNinetyFour Oh I’m concerned. And I do think we have enough data at this point to come to some conclusions. The first is that you can’t build a championship around an inefficient, high usage center that can’t defend.
@BradeauxNBA The debate pre draft was the potential alpha in PB vs the high floor of Jabari. Several noted that PBs game might be inefficient.
I think what we all underrated was how young Jabari was, and how far he needed to go from a physical standpoint. Now there’s no way I’d swap them.
