The leader of a Massachusetts sex trafficking ring pleaded guilty to her role in sex trafficking two kids and one adult following an investigation by ICE @HSINewEngland.

Christy Parker, a U.S. citizen also known as Lula, used physical beatings, threats, intimidation, sleep deprivation, starvation and other means to coerce at least one adult victim and two child victims to engage in repeated commercial sex acts in and around Fall River. She even threatened to have the authorities take the adult victim’s toddler away from her.

Although many Americans think ICE’s work is strictly immigration related, ICE enforces over 400 federal laws and statutes. Ending human trafficking is one of the agency’s most important missions.
