Families don't just need answers.
They need a system.
A way to understand where things stand, keep the full picture in view, and avoid starting over every time something changes.
Over the months that followed, I learned two things.
First: you have to be your own advocate.
Second: being your own advocate when you aren't a medical professional is incredibly hard.
