If 65 doctors, nurses, and paramedics reported by the NYT doesn’t meet the Quillette-audience standard for evidence, what does? I have a feeling it would’ve be enough for you to feel comfortable repeating the story if it was reporting Hamas crimes rather than IDF ones. Ask yourself why, and the answer, if you’re honest with yourself, will be obvious: Zionists have the ability to impose consequences on you - social, economic, professional - and supporters of Palestine do not.

The anonymous accounts whose bleating and name-calling got you to take down your post will always be there. It could be 650 doctors, and people in your comments would still call them all liars. If we showed you pictures, they’d say they were faked, video and they’d say it was staged, confessions of Israeli soldiers and they’d say they’re left-wing self-hating Jews like they do about the soldiers who come out to Breaking the Silence. If you went over there and witnessed it yourself they would call *you* a liar for reporting it.

At a certain point you have to stop ignoring the obvious truth and stand up to the jackals who threaten you for talking about it.
