The USA was awarded the world cup June 23,2018. Yes! You read that right.

They have known for 8 years that they will be hosting it. Yet, every single story that comes up makes it look like they were awarded impromptu.

Japan almost left Mexico because of poor training grounds, Iran are yet to even get Visas for the tournament, Senegal complained over security issues that welcomed them on arrival, fans are being denied entrance right left and center and now venomous snakes hounding Switzerland.

It is a world cup and every continent deserves the right to host it. We must admit though that the US are doing a terrible job at it. The tournament has barely started and teams are already frustrated. The pitch does not even look in shape. Tickets are not being sold.

One must question the wisdom of hosting the biggest sporting event majorly in a country that do not understand the importance of it or even call the sport the right name ( still soccer there).

I hope the football on the pitch makes us all forget the pre tournament debacle.
We see.

Ringgit at 2-month low, still 5% higher against US Dollar year on year, 1% up YTD.

Konspirasi, a local Malaysian fiction film related to corruption, abuse of power and the interlinks with politics.

The film began its nationwide screening on May 21, and in less than a week, Konspirasi was allegedly take down from listing on May 27.

The film production was supported by the Communications Ministry and National Film Development Corporation Malaysia. No statement or clarification from any parties yet.

most of Ringgit gains were from 2025 because the original post clearly stated "currency against US Dollar over the past year."

Ringgit rally stopped after the Iran conflict broke out. since then Ringgit has been trading sideways and even depreciated to 4-month low last month.
