@Martina As a FF for most of my adult life, I’ll tell you that seawater would work just fine for this use. All the pumps, lines and valves could be flushed with minimal damage, if any. As far as the harm to the soil? Talk to Florida about that. Stick to tennis sweetheart!

Flush the pumps when it’s over. Overall, it would be a cheap and effective solution but would never pass CA’s idiodic rule

In a normal state, 8”pvc water supply lines could be installed for about $20/foot. Seems high but a neighborhood within 1/4 of the Pacific Ocean could have ample water for 3mil
