🚨🎖| 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍: Chicago Fire are offering Robert Lewandowski a salary of €15M per year, potentially rising to €20M through bonuses. Pini Zahavi is currently in BCN and has already met Joan Laporta. Meetings with Deco and Lewandowski are also expected soon, while Hansi Flick will have a say in the striker’s future. [@ffpolo] #fcblive
@najoe2019@SportsWrldTalk No doubt he can still score in MLS. Just saying that when trying to out together a team in MLS, I’m not sure he’s exactly what the Fire need to actually compete for hardware. He’ll be 40 when the new stadium opens.
@Bialynian He’s obviously still very good but Is 13G in 27 matches Messi level production? Messi is arguably the greatest player of all time, won a World Cup, etc. You need to build a team for what they can do now, not 4-5 years ago. You don’t have room for luxury in MLS.
@Bialynian Maybe in a league with no budget restraint, adding a 38 year old striker for $20M pushes you to a cup. I’m not sure that’s the case here, where you need to fill DP spots without redundancy.
@RadioFreeTom Hegseth speaks with the intelligence and vocabulary of the absolute shittiest high school sports coach you can remember. The one everybody made fun of after practice.
