Group that represents alumni, fans, and supporters of UNC who want to see a return to the glory days. Change is needed at the top. #firedarrendunn

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@lysswenz @UNC_BearsFB I asked earlier, how would you improve UNC Athletics?

FB, MBB, WBB, BSB, SOC have been declining.

TRK, XC, WR, SW have had great individual performances but have done poorly as a team at BSC / B12 / WAC.

VB, SB, and Golf have done well in the BSC.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

Under AD Dunn, @UNC_BearsFB has an overall record of 28-76 (.368). 3 of those wins have come against opponents outside of the FBS/FCS.

Excluding those 3 wins against non FBS/FCS opponents, UNC hasn’t experienced a winning FCS season under Darren Dunn during his tenure as AD.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@lysswenz @UNC_BearsFB I disagree with but respect your opinion. How would you work to improve UNC athletics? Records for FB, MBB, and WBB show that we are not improving.

Remember that VB and SOC head coaches were not hired by Dunn.

All I have done is compile stats that are verifiable.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@lysswenz @UNC_BearsFB Coaches who abuse athletes should be let go. Why was there allowed to be a culture of abuse in the first place?

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@lysswenz @UNC_BearsFB Agree that the SB hire was a great hire not disputing that.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@lysswenz @UNC_BearsFB In a free market society, why shouldn’t student-athletes have the ability to change schools if the student-athlete feels like there is a better situation out there for them? Coaches, staff, and administrators can leave. Agree that the NCAA has done little to help itself

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@DownPodcast @UNC_Bears @PresFeinstein You’re right on with those points. Just look at the new facilities UM, MSU, or NAU just built. UNC has nothing compared to those schools in terms of facilities and the support those schools provide their student-athletes. Same with SAC

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@uncoldbear @UNC_BearsFB Agree. However, I would say that if you’re a baker and you’re not given the funding to buy all the ingredients you need, how then do you expect the baker to make a quality cake? UNC is vastly underfunded compared to its counterparts in the BSC.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@DownPodcast Agree with everything you said. The problem with @UNC_Bears starts at the top with Darren Dunn. We need a major change in leadership at UNC @PresFeinstein

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@SixHix @UNC_BearsFB I would have to take your word on that.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

Yawnhappy if this helps the student-athletes but what UNC actually needs is an AD who will actually go out and directly fundraise for the athletic department.

[FireDarrenDunn @FireDarrenDunn]

@DownPodcast @UNC_BearsMBB @UNC_Bears I don’t think so either but certainly we are not talking about a team realistically competing for a BSC title.

Are other Bears fans happy with Smiley at the helm?

[Blake Olson @BlakeOlson1]

I hate to see any of these guys in another uniform, but that is college football in 2023. I pray for all of them to have success. UNC Bears who’ve stated that they’ve entered the portal so far:

🏈LB JORDAN KNAPKE
🏈DL NICK NORRIS
🏈S DUSTIN JOHNSON
🏈TE ALEC PELL
🏈WR TY ARRINGTON
🏈OL JACKSON HOOPS
🏈LB TOFA WILSON

With exception of Arrington and Wilson, all played high school football in Colorado.
