- Higher crime. "Defund the police" increases brazenness from that state's criminals, as well as immediately attracting criminals from other states and countries, because they are being told that no one will catch or prosecute them.
- Higher prices. Not only will the price of goods rise to accommodate all the store theft, but your personal insurance prices will skyrocket to accommodate the increased home and car theft and vandalism claims.
- Sidewalks blocked with open drug use, defecation, homeless "structures," and other behavior that is not conducive to the reasonable enjoyment of the city.
- Less employment opportunities, as many companies will reduce their exposure to the open violence invitation and higher insurance rates necessary to have an operation near you.
- Etc.

Because there are other cities that have already gone through this kind of Mayoral direction, you have the advantage of observing those results, and then deciding if you want that where you live, as well.
I'm just telling you, it never benefits those of you who are paying taxes and want competent and reasonable results from it.

Anyone who imagines that something different will occur does not understand human behavior.
