Update time!
TLDR; It's now been a whole week since I contacted @lenovo_UKI and *nothing* has happened.
After many phone calls and emails. Apparently a mysterious logistics team have fixed the problem, but guess what? They haven't.
The parcel is still stuck in a @UPS warehouse in Hungary. I'm no closer to receiving my £5,000 new workstation.

@JonnyFWilliams In other industries regulation helps. If you look at finance, there's all kinds of things providers can and can't say. There is some assessment of client sophistication as risk goes up.
