1. 89 lakh voter records in Telangana have been flagged during the pre-SIR exercise. In Hyderabad's Old City, many residents say they have lived and voted in the same neighbourhoods for generations. Yet, concerns remain about documentation, verification and what SIR could mean for ordinary voters.

A major privacy concern has emerged around smart TVs used in millions of homes worldwide. Popular brands like Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense, and TCL are facing scrutiny over their use of Automatic Content Recognition, also known as Automatic Content Recognition.
This technology can capture screenshots or analyze content displayed on your TV screen as frequently as every 500 milliseconds, which equals thousands of data points per hour. It works across streaming apps, cable TV, gaming consoles, and even when the TV is used as a monitor for laptops or HDMI-connected devices.
The collected data is reportedly sent back to manufacturers and advertising partners to build detailed user profiles and deliver targeted ads. The concern is not just about what you watch, but also what might appear on your screen, including personal or sensitive information.
In December 2025, Ken Paxton filed lawsuits against these five major companies, accusing them of unlawful data collection and privacy violations. Samsung has since reached a settlement, agreeing to improve transparency and obtain clear user consent. Legal proceedings against the remaining companies are still ongoing.
Privacy experts warn that many users remain unaware of these tracking features, which are often enabled by default or buried deep within device settings. This raises serious questions about digital privacy, informed consent, and how consumer data is being used in the connected device ecosystem.
Users are advised to review their TV privacy settings, disable ACR features where possible, and stay informed about how their data is being collected and used.

🚨 A Bengaluru man built a platform, NammaKasa, that allows people to report civic issues like roadside garbage on an online platform, bringing local MLAs and MPs onto the accountability leaderboard.
IAP released it's position statement on ORS and electrolyte drinks.
https://t.co/chddU4WOxQ
1. Multiple emails to IAP for more than 4 years, to not take funds from Johnson&Johnson and Kenvue and not allow ORSL stalls in IAP conferences. Most of the mails and messages were not acknowledged.
2. I called out IAP on social media after being patient for 4 years. They considered expelling me from the IAP. IAP continued with ORSL stalls. I had to call them out again, because I prioritized child health to IAP.
3. The President Elect contender in 2024 messaged me saying she would take the matter up if she won. I had even campaigned for her thinking that some one with integrity would get elected and would not bow to Kenvue/Johnson&Johnson. After she won, she stopped acknowledging my messages.
4. I persisted with my PIL, writing to authorities, and on Social media. Letters from the parents, case reports from the paediatricians, and videos of parents being given the misbranded liquids in place of ORS.
5. Finally, FSSAI gave the order that misbranding, misleading labelling and marketing of beverages as ORS is not allowed.
6. THE ENTIRE NATION CELEBRATED ME EXCEPT FOR THE IAP.
7. Kenvue rebranded immediately to eRZL(restickered the remaining ORSL as eRZL and launched a new drink eRZL for daily hydration, and marketed the new eRZL as a new version of ORSL(violating the FSSAI order and the Delhi High Court Order).
8. I continued raising awareness that eRZL is not ORS, and that Sucralose containing drinks should not be given to children under 2 years of age, and not to be given to children daily because of the concerns expressed by WHO about the potential risk for disturbance of gut microbiota, diabetes, and related complications.
9. I filed a Trade Mark objection to the rebranding of ORSL to eRZL.
10. I reached out to the IAP president (the one who promised to take care of it), and she said she had to verify facts.
11. 3 weeks passed by. KENVUE AND JOHNSON&JOHNSON SENT ME A LEGAL NOTICE THREATENING TO PUT A DEFAMATION CASE AGAINST ME IF I DO NOT REMOVE MY POSTS. THEY ACCUSED ME OF POSTING MY CONTENT ON SOCIAL MEDIA FOR VIEWS AND FOR COMMERCIAL GAINS.
12. They also posted on their page that their hydration portfolio has been presented in PEDICON.
13. I reached out to IAP to condemn the notice sent to me, to condemn the public statement by Kenvue which indirectly said IAP supported ORSL s scientific validity, to ask Kenvue to rebrand eRZL completely so that it doesn't mimic ORSL, and to not promote their drinks as daily hydration drinks for children.
14. Many senior paediatricians condemned the notice. Gujarat paediatricians have decided to boycott Kenvue and Johnson&Johnson products. Many medical bodies had by then condemned the notice issued to me:
@IndiaESI, @FAIMA_INDIA_ , HRDA Andhrapradesh, HRDA Telangana, MARD Thane, MARD Nagpur, JUDA Ahmedabad, Telangana JUDA, JUDA Ranchi, T-SRDA, GARD, Telangana Doctor's Forum, RDA Aligarh, RDWS UP, IMA Hyderabad Airport, Endocrine Society of Telangana, Indian Doctor's and Dermatologists against quackery.
15. IAP DOESN'T CONDEMN THE NOTICE ISSUED TO ME, DOESN'T CONDEMN THE PUBLIC STATEMENT BY KENVUE, BUT RELEASES A POSITION STATEMENT WHICH EMPHASIZES ON ELECTROLYTE DRINKS FOR NON DIARRHOEAL DEHYDRATION AND ON THE SAFETY LIMITS OF SUCRALOSE WITHOUT MENTIONING THE OTHER ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS, AND WITHOUT WARNING THE PARENTS ABOUT THE POTENTIAL RISKS OF LONG TERM INTAKE OF SUCRALOSE. NOW, KENVUE CAN USE THIS STATEMENT TO PROMOTE SUCRALOSE CONTAINING DRINKS AS DAILY HYDRATION DRINKS FOR CHILDREN. THEY ARE EVEN NOW WANTING TO EXPEL ME FROM IAP, AND AGAIN SOME SENSIBLE PAEDIATRICIANS WITH INTEGRITY ARE STOPPING THEM.
SO, NOW, WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND FROM THIS?!
CAN I FIGHT THE CORPORATES INSPITE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING? WILL I BE ABLE TO?

Is your hospital playing games with you?
An unconscious patient billed for 52 litres of mineral water. A routine gallbladder surgery that cost nearly double the estimate. Two children who died of dengue, each billed ₹16 lakh, with consumables marked up 1,700%. These aren't anomalies. They are the system and its red flags. In this video, Abantika Ghosh pulls back the curtain on how, in many hospitals, billing has turned into a profit engine where management teams track every piece of equipment used in your surgery to maximise the invoice, where doctors have lost the discretion to protect you even if they want to, where the word "cancer" is deployed like a weapon to shut down questions, and where being insured is not a safety net but a signal to charge more. It's a warning sign for the red flags you need to watch out for.

“Kitchen for girls, careers for boys?”
A Class 12 student refused to accept that.
When Mahima Keerthana Sirangi opened her English exam paper, one question stood out, not for marks, but for the message it carried.
It had two choices for a dialogue-writing section:
Conversation between a mother and daughter about learning cooking,
Another between a father and son discussing the boy's future plans.
That’s when she asked a simple but powerful question—
In 2026, are we still deciding dreams based on gender?
A second-year Intermediate student from a government junior college in Kachiguda, Mahima didn’t just feel uncomfortable, she took action.
She wrote directly to Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy, calling out the bias in the exam system.
Her argument was clear:
Cooking is a life skill, not a gender role.
Dreams and careers aren’t reserved for boys.
And she isn’t speaking from theory.
Mahima is a national-level rifle shooter, a 2023 SGFI champion, and has already secured admission to NALSAR University—proof that girls are shaping futures far beyond outdated stereotypes.
She even shared how both her parents cook at home, because equality isn’t taught in textbooks, it’s lived.
But what worried her most was this:
If exam papers continue to reinforce such narratives, what are we teaching the next generation?
Her letter isn’t just a complaint.
It’s a reminder that education doesn’t just test minds, it shapes them.

You would never knowingly serve plastic to your family.
And yet, a simple scratch on a non-stick pan may be doing exactly that releasing thousands, even millions, of invisible particles into the food we cook every day.
This isn’t a distant environmental issue. It’s in our kitchens. In our daily lives.
These particles often carry PFAS “forever chemicals” that don’t break down in the body and are increasingly linked to cancer, hormonal imbalance, infertility, and immune disorders.
What’s more concerning?
Most of us are already exposed. Studies show these chemicals are present in the bloodstream of nearly everyone globally.
This is not about fear. It’s about awareness.
Because health isn’t built in hospitals alone it is shaped every day at home, through the choices we make.
Maybe it is time to rethink what we cook with.
A simple shift to safer materials like stainless steel or cast iron could be one of the most powerful preventive health decisions we make.
The question isn’t whether this affects us.
The question is what will we choose to change?
