There is a large portion of people who believe they’ll be “good enough” to get into Heaven, but they also believe the Bible is a book of fairytales. This contradiction only reveals the truth of Scripture…they love the darkness rather than the light. It’s a heart (not head) issue
@VCorland13031 @Matt_Dermody It’s one thing to say “here’s the Gospel…” to hopefully save someone’s soul from hell. EVERY Christian should be doing this with SOME people. It’s another to say “you MUST believe what I believe or else I’ll hate you!” Funny enough, that’s what non-Christians say to Christians.
@VCorland13031 @Matt_Dermody “Keep Jesus out”. So you’re NOT proud of your relationship with Christ. You’re willing to let people go to Hell without hearing the Gospel. That’s not loving or Christ-like. Christ should also influence ALL our politics. And the media dragged their hatred for Jesus into sports.
@OutOfExile2021@greglaurie@marlenahope Pathetic response. Legislation will never help anything. That’s why the previous gun legislation hasn’t helped anything. It’s not loving to make peaceful people defenseless OR even limit what they can protect themselves with. Might want to look up the point of the 2A.
@backeddyback@mcqbeth@aigkenham@TheBeardedTyson Using the term “religious baggage” just makes it clear you don’t understand Christianity. Let me ask you, if you found Christianity to be more truthful and reliable than anything else, would you follow Christ?
@backeddyback@mcqbeth@aigkenham@TheBeardedTyson The atheist has no direction except what they make up themselves. The atheist has no hope except something thats fleeting. The atheist has no basis to make any moral claims. They can make them, but they’re empty. The Christian has direction, hope, and grounding.
@backeddyback@mcqbeth@aigkenham@TheBeardedTyson But you see…Christ is not baggage. It’s freedom. Thats the difference. The doctrine of Christianity is not something you’re guilted into following or forced to follow. You want to follow it because you’re born anew in Christ, and that’s a very real thing.
@backeddyback@JimLangston50@aigkenham@TheBeardedTyson So you don’t think people should have free will? God showed us over a long time we can’t do ANYTHING without Him. And it isn’t until Heaven that we’re fully in His glory, so until then we have temptations to sin. Couldn’t be any different.
@backeddyback@mcqbeth@aigkenham@TheBeardedTyson To think it’s allegorical is backwards to say the least. The answer you’re looking for is “because it couldn’t be any other way”. You literally can’t think of how it could be different without changing God or removing our humanity.
I could not image a more just, gracious, and merciful God than the God of the Bible. He surpasses reason, loves without condition, and saves with incredible mercy🙏🏼❤️ #amen#jesusChrist
